Hey everybody! I’m sorry that I haven’t been able to post any new content in a while. I got really sick coming home from Virginia and I’ve been trying to recover and get caught up with work and getting ready for school. That being said, I thought that it would be a good time to look back at some of the things that I’ve gotten to do this summer.
I’m on vacation all this week in Virginia Beach, Virginia. I’m having an amazing time, and I will be sharing tons of stories and photos from my trip once I get home and have a chance to upload and go through them. Meanwhile, the heat here (and the humidity) have given me a new respect for air conditioning, so I’ve decided to dedicate a post to my (very brief) time in Vail, Colorado earlier in the summer.
I’ve been incredibly busy lately with work, camp counseling and planning my upcoming road trip (more details to come) and haven’t had much time to post. I decided that I would take the time today to share a quick post with some of my favorite bus travel pictures from tour (you can read more about that tour here, here, and here). It’s hard to know exactly where all of these pictures were taken because the miles (and the days) all seem to blur together on the open road. I do know, however, that most of these pictures were taken on I-70, which stretches from Utah to Maryland, though that’s not very specific. Also, sorry for the poor “shot through a window on a moving bus” quality, If I could have stopped and gotten out to take pictures every time that I wanted to, we may never have made it all the way back home.
This weekend, my mom and I were given an excuse to spend the day in the city (Detroit, that is). We are always looking for fun ways to spend time together without breaking the bank. This past weekend, some close family members had to go out of town unexpectedly and had purchased show tickets that they were going to be unable to use, so they called us and asked that we put them to use. Of course we happily obliged and decided to make a full day out of it.
While in Malibu (more on my trip to Malibu here), we were able to squeeze a free day into our busy schedules to relax and explore. There was no debate about where we wanted to go, and we all piled back on to the bus and set off for Santa Monica Pier and the Pacific Ocean.
