Hello everyone! I haven’t written in a while, but I’ve decided to come out of my hiatus and share some of the awesome things that I’ve been doing. This summer has been FULL of traveling to some really amazing places, and I can’t wait to share it with you guys. In fact, the early part of my summer was so full of traveling and adventuring that I’m just now getting around to organizing everything so that I can write about it and share it with you. In the meantime, I thought now would be an opportune time to finish up the Virginia Beach posts that I started so long ago.
Virginia Beach is an incredibly fun vacation destination. There is always something happening, and usually for free! I was amazed at how many things were open to the public for free. I expected to pay through the roof for everything that I wanted to do, and I thought that most of my free time would go toward swimming and relaxing by the ocean (which was never a disappointment), but that wasn’t the case at all. I spent my days finding free things to do, and my evenings on the ocean.
Hey everybody! I’m sorry that I haven’t been able to post any new content in a while. I got really sick coming home from Virginia and I’ve been trying to recover and get caught up with work and getting ready for school. That being said, I thought that it would be a good time to look back at some of the things that I’ve gotten to do this summer.
I’ve been incredibly busy lately with work, camp counseling and planning my upcoming road trip (more details to come) and haven’t had much time to post. I decided that I would take the time today to share a quick post with some of my favorite bus travel pictures from tour (you can read more about that tour here, here, and here). It’s hard to know exactly where all of these pictures were taken because the miles (and the days) all seem to blur together on the open road. I do know, however, that most of these pictures were taken on I-70, which stretches from Utah to Maryland, though that’s not very specific. Also, sorry for the poor “shot through a window on a moving bus” quality, If I could have stopped and gotten out to take pictures every time that I wanted to, we may never have made it all the way back home.
This weekend, my mom and I were given an excuse to spend the day in the city (Detroit, that is). We are always looking for fun ways to spend time together without breaking the bank. This past weekend, some close family members had to go out of town unexpectedly and had purchased show tickets that they were going to be unable to use, so they called us and asked that we put them to use. Of course we happily obliged and decided to make a full day out of it.
