Greenhouse Photoshoot

Hello Friends!

I feel like I have been doing a lot of text-heavy blogs recently, so i’m changing up the pace. A while ago, I’d gotten in contact with a local photographer on a whim, looking to do a fun experimental photoshoot. I don’t always love the way that I look in photos, but working with photographers who really know their stuff can be incredibly fun and yield some great results. I find that it gives me a much needed confidence boost when I get pictures back that I actually like.

You can see more of Emilee’s amazing work over on her website; emileerosefilms.com

Emilee and I have done a couple of shoots together at this point, and with more planned for the future, and I cannot stress enough how important it is to have someone like Emilee in your life. Creatively, she is one of those people who inspires me endlessly. Her eye for photography blows me away, and he willingness to go out on a limb and try new things is amazing. Plus, she’s just so much fun to be around! I’ve worked with photographers in the past who made me feel extremely uncomfortable, and the difference in outcome is definitely tangible.

These photos are from our first shoot together at a greenhouse in Rochester. I can’t believe that it’s taken me so long to get around to finally posting these here on the blog, but better late than never! I hope that you enjoy them as much as I do, and perhaps find some inspiration of your own.

Until next time!

~Nikki

Impromptu Photoshoot

Hello Friends!

I’ve been scheduling out some new content, and I hope you are as excited for it as I am! I’ve been writing a lot lately about some big trips that I’ve been on (and I’ve got more big trips coming your way shortly), but I wanted to revisit my mission statement, which emphasises adventure both far and near. You don’t have to break the bank to have a great time.

Gran Castor

Hello Friends!

Going out to eat might just be my favorite thing, especially to cute new (and unfortunately, expensive) restaurants. So, when a new restaurant opened up just around the corner from me, I knew where I would be going; Gran Castor.

Finding Your Passion

Hello Friends!

If you have read my ‘New Chapter’ blog, you’ll know that my mission for NTL has changed ever so slightly (and if you haven’t read it, you can read it here). I find that we focus too much, at least I do, on the grand adventures that take us out of our way, rather than the small adventures that we encounter in our day-to-day lives. In an effort to remedy that, I’ve been going over this blog to try to get a look at my own big picture, and I realize that I’ve been missing out on a BIG part of my life.
