Hello everyone! I haven’t written in a while, but I’ve decided to come out of my hiatus and share some of the awesome things that I’ve been doing. This summer has been FULL of traveling to some really amazing places, and I can’t wait to share it with you guys. In fact, the early part of my summer was so full of traveling and adventuring that I’m just now getting around to organizing everything so that I can write about it and share it with you. In the meantime, I thought now would be an opportune time to finish up the Virginia Beach posts that I started so long ago.
I wanted to get back down to Virginia Beach this summer, but with all of the other traveling that I did, there just wasn’t time (or money in the budget)! With all of the fun, mostly free, things to do though, it makes for a great vacation spot, and I would definitely recommend going if you get the chance. You can see some of the other fun things that I did in Virginia Beach here and here.
The Witch of Pungo is based on the true story of Grace Sherwood, the only woman in Virginia to be convicted of witchcraft. This mini-musical is based in the early 1700’s, when the American witch-hunt was in full swing. The musical has an intense musical score and was the 2013 Best of Beach Street Historical Show Winner.
Valor is the dramatic retelling of the story of the Navy SEALS and some of their most exciting missions. This is a one man show, enhanced by visual aids. This show, like it’s counterpart Aviators & Afterburners (here) is short and high energy, and also takes place inside the Naval Aviation Monument!
Ella is pretty self explanatory, as it is literally the ‘Life and Music of Ella Fitzgerald’. The show includes a spot-on impersonator and a live band. This show was my favorite of the shows that I saw on the boardwalk, and I promise, it will make you fall in love with Ella.
Stay tuned for some new and exciting content from this summer coming your way!
Until next time,
